The organization of North Atlantic Alliance Summit on early April is not accidental. On the first Sunday of April, Romania celebrates the "NATO Day". Romania’s way towards NATO began in 1990, thus Romania joining Alliance’s decisions, in all this time taking part in different missions under the NATO flag, for the interest of global security.
« NATO anniversary represents a good opportunity for us to express our solidarity with the allies, in promoting the values and the objectives of a continuously changing Alliance, which, throughout more than a century, accumulated the tradition to take action in accordance with common values and with the indestructible connection between America and Europe.
